As mentioned in our January update, we officially launched the first ever ministry reaching out to women in brothels in our city! The ministry is called Rahab which you can find out more in detail in our January update. We had our first two outreaches to ten of the brothels in our area and were so amazed at what God did! We went into 9 of the 10 brothels and gave out Valentine’s gifts to each of the girls with scriptures about God’s love! God’s timing lead to many divine appointments throughout both outreaches and we have already seen some fruit! Also there was one brothel we were totally rejected at on the first outreach but by the end of the week on our second outreach my friend and I were warmly welcomed in to chat! To make a long story short, we almost lead the man at the desk of the brothel to God! It was truly a divine appointment and He himself admitted it to us. We were also able to talk to one of the girls there! Praise God for his incredible favor!
In the last week we have had two major breakthrough/ praise repports! First was Tina getting accepted for the lecture phase of the Foundations for Counseling Ministry School in Kona, Hawaii which will be starting and finishing the same dates as Scott’s film school. The second thing is that today in the mail Tina received her granted Partner Visa confirmation! This means that she can come and go into and out of Australia as she pleases, she has health insurance (Medicare) and can work on an unrestricted basis! We had been praying that this visa would get approved before going to Hawaii or there was the potential of losing it. God is so faithful!
I had the privilege of leading worship @ Youth Street live a week ago. Youth Street live is the night program aimed to lead crew in a deeper relationship with Jesus! Nathan an 18 year old has a band that rocks out every week but he was away so I lead. Nathan has a band of 4 young guys including himself that meets every Saturday to lead the ministry into God's presents. Its been an encouragement to see how Nathan is leading the guys not just musically but with a servant heart which is a joy to watch. These guys are rocking out hard and are bringing a new spark to the ministry of Youth Street Newcastle!
